Meeting The Client Brief (U3: P5, M4, D1)

Image
Learning Objective 4 (U3): Be able to carry out production techniques and processes for an original media product to a client brief I have exported my final products as a PDF file format, to ensure a high quality file (300DPI). This means that the product can be exported as a high quality file and when printed this will also ensure the best quality.  I used the Drop shadow tool to make the word "exclusive" stand out more as it camouflaged into the background so by doing this it stood out and put more emphasis on the fact that it is exclusive. This is a convention of magazines. The meaning of using this tool is to make sure that the reader sees it when they look at the magazine meaning they are more likely to pick it up as it stands out. This has been created by the shadow behind the word making it stand out more. The word exclusive helps to emphasise the idea that it is original such as the grime music scene in North London made locally in North London as the maga...

Post-production techniques and processes (P5, U3)

I have exported both my front cover and D.P.S as JPEGs so that the have been saved in an appropriate formate for the client Review of Suitability Front Cover 1)The layout of the magazine is a strength as everything is visible and easy to read as when people get a snapshot of the magazine the will be able to see everything as it is all visible and nothing blends in with the background it all stands out especially the name of the Artist "Q2T" which is highly visible and easy to read. along with the font i used which connotes grime as it is cracked and looks rough and worn which when people read they will see that and associate it with grime. 2) A weakness of the magazine is the image quality of the background image this is because it was taken on an older camera with bad quality so to improve on that i would take the image again but instead this time i will use a better quality camera to get the best possible image quality so it stands out more on the front and look...

Create production materials (U3,P4,M3)

Image
I chose these because the way that they stand which is looking serious and intimidating and this connotes grime. The clothes that they are wearing such as dark tracksuits and balaclavas with hoods up, are the things that are associated with the music genre of Grime. I used the location as it added to the main image making it stand out more putting more emphasis on the model. I chose the outfits because the tracksuits and jumpers connote grime, the balaclavas also help to further implement the idea of them being grime artists the hoods up covered their heads making them look more as though they are grime artists. They were taken in Brondsbury park in Kilburn as that is a inner urban area which coyotes grime as to was areas such as that where grime was born and raised. i did not use this photo as the quality was not as good as the others meaning when i put it in it looked as though it was very unclear  I used this equipment because the camera was the best ...

Plan and develop pre-production materials (P3, M2, U3)

Learning Objective:  Release Forms: Legal & Ethical Issues Moodboard I have created a mood board, which includes images and font styles that will inspire me and connote Grime. Digital Designs Hand Drawn Sketches Colour Scheme I have chosen these colour choices as they are conventional to Grime. Red = connotations include danger, passion and fire. These are all emotions conveyed throughout Grime lyrics.  Black = connotations of dominance and power.  Blue = connotations of isolation, which are how some readers might feel prior to reading the inspiring artists. Font Styles I will use the 1st one for the masthead because it is bold and will catch the readers eye it also shows the feel and portrays the genre of the magazine. I will use the first font as the font of the main part of the magazine and the articles this is because it is clear and bold so even when smaller than the other two i...
